Flagler College students are in the top three in SPJ Region 3 Mark of Excellence Awards again -Phillip Mansfield in Online Feature Reporting (4 Year College/University) and Haley Walker in Online In-Depth Reporting (4 Year College/University). The order of the top three, in each category, will be announced at the Region 3 Spring Conference in Orlando, Florida, March 19-20. First place finishers move onto the national Mark of Excellence Awards. Congratulations to both Phillip and Haley! Last year, Flagler College's Ryan Day won the Online In-Depth Reporting (4 Year College/University) category for Region 3. Day, Mansfield and Walker's stories were each written for COM 451, Advanced Reporting (Print), and published by the Flagler College Gargoyle.
